So the last season of the series is upon us. What are your thoughts? Is it getting while the getting's good? Should it have gone another year? Or is Tony Shalhoub & company just so good that it should keep going until the ratings plummet disastrously and no one ever watches it.

I think about right but his wife's case should have been solved last season. Then this season he could find romance which could lead to an occasional special.

Well, I think the plan was to always finish with Monk solving Trudy's death as the finale.

The guy's always had OCD-type problems, but it seems to me that once he finds Trudy's killer, he gets "fixed." Do we want a show that's about Monk getting better?

Do we want to watch Columbo once he's got over his annoying habit of asking "just one more question" and talking about his unseen wife? Look at how Mrs. Columbo/Kate Loves a Mystery worked out...

Well, I sure can't disagree with anything you said.

BTW I hope the set designer has a segment on any future DVD releases. I love the pictures on Monks walls and would like to know more about them, and better views.
