Tonight's episode opened with a woman pulling her car into the driveway of a wealthy man's property. She uses the intercom in an attempt to get his attention, but no one responds. When a vehicle pulls up, the woman is startled. Someone gets out of the vehicle and approaches her. The woman is chased across the man's property and down to a nude beach. The attacker stabs the woman numerous times and takes an envelope from the woman's hand.
As Randy Disher arrives to the crime scene, he can be seen fiddling with his portable music player. Next, Adrian and Natalie pull up on the access road. Randy talks with Captain Stottlemeyer for a second about his music player which has been malfunctioning. The coroner believes the woman was killed at about midnight or 1 a.m. Stottlemeyer and Randy welcome Natalie and Adrian, who have finally gotten out of their car. Natalie, Randy, and Leland do their best to block Adrian's view of the nudists on the beach. They are successful until a local resident, Chance Singer, comes home and exits his car in the nude. Adrian nearly has a heart attack.
Peter Magneri, the wealthy local resident, is paid a visit by Leland, Randy, Natalie, and Adrian. Peter cooperates with the investigation, but he doesn't seem to be the murderer according to Adrian, who is convinced Chance Singer is the murderer. In fact, Adrian seems completely disgusted about nudists and cannot get his mind off the subject.
The team then visits the victim's roommate to learn about Vicky and anyone she may know. When Adrian's anger toward nudists becomes a problem, Leland reams him for his attitude. Randy's frustration with his mp3 player also becomes bothersome, so he eventually tosses it into the trash can. The visit with the roommate isn't particularly fruitful for the investigation.
When Chance Singer leaves his home in the middle of the night, Adrian and Natalie sneak inside. Natalie isn't very supportive in Adrian's idea of breaking in. Inside, Natalie finds a petition to keep the beach "clothing optional." After two or three minutes pass, Chance comes home with several of his nudist friends. Adrian and Natalie hide in the closet. Chance brought his friends over to discuss the upcoming zoning board meeting. When it becomes obvious Adrian and Natalie are about to be found out, they flip off the lights and take off. Much to Adrian's surprise, he and Natalie run off with Chance in tow. When Adrian realizes this, he and Chance yell at one another. Chance gives Adrian his alibi of being in jail and asks him to looking into it. It would prove his innocence, after all.
Checking up on Chance's alibi, they stop by the jail and check it out. Adrian examines every square inch of the cell to see if there is any way Chance could have escaped to commit the murder. He even puts out some ridiculous theories, all in an attempt to pin this murder on Chance.
Concerned about Adrian, Leland brings Adrian into his office. He poses a bit of an intervention and takes Adrian off the case because of his behavior. Leland tells him his phobia of nude people is plain wrong and asks Adrian not to come back to work until he figures it out.
After Leland's intervention, Adrian decides to speak with Dr. Kroger. Adrian goes into a story about how he was naked as a very young child and was repeatedly hit by someone. After a few seconds, it becomes clear that Adrian actually remembered his birth and that the person smacking him was the doctor. This puts Adrian completely at ease and leaves Dr. Kroger's office.
Back home, Adrian tells Natalie how well his session with Dr. Kroger went. He's ecstatic to be over nude people. When looking around the house, Adrian finds a piece of stationary belonging to Vicky's roommate, Arlene. It really peaks his interest.
The team stops by Arlene's place and Adrian reveals what happened. It seems Arlene works at the hospital. Peter Magneri recently went in for a series of medical tests. The tests revealed Peter has an Aortic Aneurysm, and he could die if he gets excited or angry. Arlene quit her job and began selling the stock of the company Peter works for, all in an attempt to capitalize on Peter's death.
Meanwhile, Chance and his fellow nudists are pleased that they have won the case against Peter. Chance receives a call from Adrian, who tells Chance all about the medical risks of Peter, should he get too upset. Chance announces he is giving the beach back to Peter. Peter, along with everyone else in the room, is confused by this, but it eventually comforts Peter as he's taken to the hospital.
The episode ends with Adrian and Natalie visiting Chance. Chance and his fellow nudists are moving to a private island, which Peter has purchased for them as a thanks for what Chance did to save his life.
Tonight's episode was a little light in the humor department. Sure there were a few funny moments, but a lot of the episode just didn't make me laugh.
