Monk is extremely flattered when Hollywood star David Ruskin is chosen to play him in a movie. However, the actor begins to take this role a little too seriously, and not only does he begin taking on Monk's mannerisms, but soon begins to believe that he's actually Monk. Meanwhile, Monk has other things on his plate, investigating two different murder cases, which he soon learns may be related to each other.

Episode Quotes

Monk: (about the glitter that got on to his shirt) It won't come off!

David: There he is, the man himself, Mr. Monk.
Monk: Adrian...or...Age.

Monk: Glitter.
Natalie: From the other crime scene?
David: Maybe you still had some left on your hands?
Randy: No, he never touched the gun, I bagged it myself.
Monk: Anyway, I washed my hands one-hundred times since yesterday.
David: Really? Exactly one-hundred?
Monk: It's a great number.

Dr. Kroger: And they canceled the movie?
Monk: (Ruskin) ...said he wanted to play a character who wasn’t so dark and depressing. He’s in England playing Hamlet.

Monk: Natalie, they’re making a movie about me. Now this is something that I might...actually...come close to...actually enjoying.

Monk: (about Ruskin's visit) And then he made us food, fried eggs, with the yolk exactly in the center, I mean, exactly, he used the ruler, just the way I like it. (sighs) It was confusing... but delicious. But confusing. But delicious.
