Aw, Peggy is the first woman to do writing since the war. And she's so proud of it, too. Go, Peggy! Now to get rid of your bizarre attraction to Pete. Speaking of which, wasn't it odd that no one questioned the fact that Pete just attacked a co-worker? I understand Don and Roger ignoring it, but the guys around him don't wonder what it was about?

I was wondering just last week about Don's salary (because he gave his $2500 bonus to his mistress just after paying $5000 to his brother to go away) and I got my answer this week. For the record, Pete's $3500 in 1960=$24,630 in 2007 and Don's $45,000 in 1960=$316,670 in 2007. (Source: inflation calculator)

I was pleasantly surprised by Don's reaction to Betty's desire to go back to work. I was expecting him to be a jerk to her (as usual), but he was good about it. That conversation where Betty is putting on a show of choosing to stay at home rather than face rejection while Don knows it isn't true was heartbreaking. Then those last few seconds of Betty shooting the pigeons was awesome and hilarious. Good for her.

I don't know why I failed to look at this forum more. Just getting old I guess. I love this series. A lot of situations ring a bell for me. I guess I'm starting to like
history.

Much agreed on Peggy and Pete. I just don't get it.
