Macy's has been lighting up the skies of New York City since 1958 on the Hudson River, before moving it to the East River in 1976 with their annual fireworks spectacular. And in '76 the show has been broadcast on TV, along with musical guests performing to get us into a patriotic mood while awaiting the incredible show in the sky.
