Hugo "Hurley" Reyes, played by Jorge Garcia
Hugo "Hurley" Reyes is from LA. He's the fat, jolly guy who is everybody's friend.
Hurley quit his job at the Chicken Shack when he won the lottery using a string of cursed numbers he memorized in a mental institution. He feels the numbers are cursed because since he won the lottery, he's had nothing but bad luck befall him and his family. Hurley came by these numbers while being treated for mental problems. The numbers themselves are very important and are the same numbers that the survivors have to push every 108 minutes.
Hurley harbored more than a little crush on Libby, and was devastated when he discovered she was murdered by someone he once trusted. He has been trying to reconnect with Sayid, who has been brooding since Shannon's death, and spends a lot of time hanging out with Charlie.
Hurley's favorite word seems to be "dude", and he tends to faint at the sight of blood. He is also one to shy away from violence, unless his boiling point has been reached---as Sawyer unfortunately found out. |
