The girl soon loses sympathy when it is also discovered that the girl had been connected to another abandoned newborn a year later, but was never arrested - and that the girl is the daughter of a city councilman.

Later, tape from a student crew filming the night of the murder reveals the victim was with Linus McKellen, Tessa's husband - whose sperm was found in both the victim and her friend and fellow stripper, also found murdered.

The three teens had been partying with the victim, Jennifer Durning. Nick and Doug have very rich parents. Jason is supposedly a "good kid" who was in the city studying at Julliard, so Nick and Doug and their attorneys say that their plan was for Jason to lose his virginity, then afterward Nick and Doug had consensual sex with Jennifer, but Jason got greedy and wanted to go again, that's when she freaked out and Jason talked about killing her to shut her up.
Jason agrees to testify and the cops release him to his parents, but when Jason disappears, Judge Donnelly has no choice but to dismiss the case. Attorneys Dave Seaver, Oliver Gates, and Monica Bradshaw represent the teens.
