  Season 18 (The Eighteenth Year)  
Law & Order returned to its familiar Wednesday time slot for the historic 18 Season. Detective Ed Green (Jesse L. Martin) welcomes new Detective Cyrus Lupo (Jeremy Sisto) who solve crimes with the help of Lieutenant Van Buren (S. Epatha Merkerson). A.D.A. Connie Rubirosa (Alana de la Garza) now works with newly appointed E.A.D.A. Michael Cutter (Linus Roache) who work under new D.A. Jack McCoy (Sam Waterston).

Trouble hits the 27th Precinct when Detective Green faces personal demons and is replaced by Detective Kevin Bernard (Anthony Anderson). Other cases include a physician employing assisted suicide, the WGA writers strike, and a political figure soliciting sex.

Notable guest stars include Lara Flynn Boyle, Sean Astin, Michael McKean, Wayne Duvall, and Carolyn McCormick.
