When Detectives Briscoe (Jerry Orbach) and Curtis (Benjamin Bratt) are called in to investigate the death of a 13-year-old quadriplegic boy, they are puzzled by the clues. After a suspect is found, McCoy (Sam Waterston) and Ross (Carey Lowell) find evidence that questions whether the murder was motivated by mercy -- or thrills. Steven Hill and S. Epatha Merkerson also star.
