D.A. Jack McCoy entered the scene in Season 5 as an Executive Assistant District Attorney after E.A.D.A. Ben Stone left the office. While as an E.A.D.A. Jack McCoy, unlike Stone, wants to win more than feel compassionate about the defendant or show his empathy towards them, although sometime it comes out on rare cases. He prosecutes to the fullest extent of the law, and sometimes even bends them to win his cases. In Season 18, McCoy becomes the new District Attorney after D.A. Arthur Branch leaves mid-term. |
