Yay, it's back!
Funny moments:- The breakup beard in the first place
- The progressive shaving of the breakup beard
- Lily: "Do you want to go to dinner with me? Um, us."
- Barney obsessing about Ted needing him as a wingman
- Barney literally not being able to stand on his own after seeing Ted's "tramp stamp"
- "...Butterfly?"
- "I LIKED IT TOO, BUT IT'S TOO WARM. MAYBE IN THE WINTER!"
And, of course, SlapCountdown.com.
I'm a little apprehensive about having to go through Robin being reintegrated into the group, but hopefully it won't be too long or painful before she's just one of the gang again. |

The slap countdown was indeed priceless; I'd almost forgotten that Marshall still had one left. And that they picked up right where last season left off, with the "-dary," was a nice touch. Glad to see one of my favorite shows back for its third season. And can't wait to see who's under the umbrella. Although when they were in the bar, I could have sworn there was a yellow umbrella in the umbrella rack as well. Hmm. |

Yes, I liked that we got the end of "legend-"
Marshall actually still has three slaps left: five total minus the one almost immediately minus the horrible, horrible play one. I love that they're following through on the slap bet continuity.
I don't think we're going to meet the mom until the series finale. Not only because, logically, a story of "how you meet someone" ends with you meeting them, but because of what Future Ted said in this episode–while the kids know the "short version" of Ted and Future Mom meeting, this is the longer one about what had to happen for Ted to become the person he had to become before he could meet Future Mom. |
