Episode discussion for: 06x01 | Broken (Sep 21, 2009)

Is this site truly this dead? No House discussion? Sad. Episode scored 16 M viewers.

I was very impressed with this episode and loved it. I just have to wonder how House is really changed by all this.

I was hoping we would get to see a long term love interest at the hospital. I think he got out to soon, that story line could have been much longer.

Well, the question is, did House set the whole thing up to get out? Note the self-satisfied smirk with the end...

Let's face it, he's not going to change. Previews aside, the whole concept of the show is House being an ass.

Dr. Nolan is in the next episode, so we'll see what happens when he meets the "new" House in the latter's own environment.

I dunno, I feel like this was such a good opening that the next episodes are going to pale in comparison. I mean it'll be nice to see House back in his element, but it's going to just be back to the traditional formula. . .

The one thing I think this episode proved is that that Hugh basically owns the show, lol. It was as good (if not better) than any episode I've seen (and I've seen them all) even in the absence of the entire support staff.

Great episodes. They definitely top my favorite episodes list. I kind of wish they would have kept him in the asylum longer. It was a nice change of pace to see him outside of the hospital. Not many shows can deviate from their formula as successfully as these two episodes.

I agree with guy -- I wish the love interest was drawn out for a few more episodes as well.

I know I'm in the minority, but I honestly didn't like this episode very much. Hugh Laurie did a great job, but I missed all the other characters.

I missed Hadley. And Wilson, since he had like two lines of dialogue. I didn't really miss Foreman or Taub though.

I can live without Thirteen and Foreman (maybe Olivia was doing another Maxim shoot?). And the Cuddy bit leaves me in yawns. So naturally those three were played up in the previews.

I'd rather see a team/supporting cast of Chase, Wilson, and Taub. And Cuddy, I suppose, since someone has to be the administrator.

As for Cameron, the producers have let Jennifer Morrison go so she'll be out as a show star later this year. Maybe they'll finally redo the opening credits then.
