House :: Adverse Events (05x03)

I completely love Lucas. He's such a great cast addition, plus the jam session at the very end was awesome. Who knew humans could get hairballs? Here I was thinking it was a feline thing...
The storyline with Taub and his wife seemed kind of pointless to me. And where's Cameron? Have we actually seen her since the premiere?

Oh, my God, yes -- Lucas is awesome! I loved the end of the episode. Sorry, Wilson. I don't miss you as much as I thought I would.
Could not have cared less about Taub's storyline. I feel like the medicine aspect of the show is starting to take backseat to everything else, most of which I don't care about. It didn't used to be like that, and that's probably why the show is becoming incredibly boring to me. We used to learn things about the team from their interactions with the patient, but now the patient is just kind of there. House seems even less involved than he usually was.
That bezoar was disgusting! It made me think of Harry Potter, though. Bezoars are used to treat someone who's poisoned. There was a similar case on Ripley's Believe It or Not where some girl ate her own hair, and it formed a hairball in her stomach. Ugh, why do I remember that?
Oh, and I cracked up about Kutner's world record! More Kutner, please.

I thought the episode was pretty good. Do yall really not like show changes this much? They can't leave everything constantly the same or it would turn in to something or nothing more than a repetitive soap opera which I would HATE then.
As yall pointed out, I love the new character addition. He bonds so well with them and brings out very good personality conflicts.
I did check the ratings. It was second place in the time slot and #1 in the young adult bracket. It has only slipped a little. Sarah Conner and Prison break have slipped a lot!

I wouldn't say I HATE them, I just dislike writers taking major characters and giving them backseats to storylines that really have no point in the overall scheme of things, like Taub's storyline this week. I would have much rather had Cameron or Chase pop in than that. Change can be very good, as long as it's no so drastic the show veers completely off course, like CSI and the Grissom-Sarah romance.

I remember that hairball story from Ripleys. It was shaped like her stomach, lol. It was 10 pounds and was in a young girls stomach.
Kelly is right about House barely having any involvement with the patients. At times he seems to care less that any patients exists. That deal with Taub and his wife was such a WGAF. Although i loved how House was torturing him about his wife, lol. I also hated the way they ate their meal, it looked so cramped/close...and the had square plates.

Ew, thanks for making me picture it again, Chris!
I feel like the major cast changes were unnecessary. Why fix something that isn't broken? After three seasons, I didn't think the old team needed to be replaced. I liked them immediately and continued to like them, and now I miss them. The process for choosing the new team was kind of interesting, but it was all downhill after that.
I'm often resistant to change, so maybe it's just my personality's fault.

ER is in season 15 and only has 1 original cast member, and she left for a few years. That series likes to kill off cast members...and it's a hospital show.

Eh, I like the new team. I always thought Chase was a weasel. I already like Lucas better than I did Chase. That whole Taub crap was kind of ridiculous though.
Also, are they ever gonna tell us Hadley's first name? I see the guide says Remy but I saw this interview with her that said it was Rema. This peeves me off.

Chase rules. Remember when he made that joke about Foreman's mama being fat? Hilarious.

Maybe Dr. House and Lucas are going to have spin-off detective series. Or start a band. Or have a love affair with each other. or...or...
