Anthony reviews the first five seasons and the most amazing remodeling jobs that they performed.
#10: The Chipman Hill Suite. Designer: Blanche Garcia
At the Chipman Hill Suites, Anthony is originally frustrated with the owner disrespecting the employees. He discovers that the bed & breakfast doesn't serve breakfast, so he brings in designer Blanche Garcia to find a place where they could set up breakfast. They find an empty room but there is nothing to work with. Blanche brings in a team to redo the entire area and the owners are happy with the work.
#9: Hollywood Liberty Hotel. Designer: Casey Noble
Anthony goes to the Hollywood Liberty Hotel, in an "A" market where the occupancy never goes below 80%. Despite that, the hotel was in trouble. Anthony checks the rooms and finds missing smoke detectors and dried food inside the microwave. The place needs top-to-bottom makeover, and Anthony brings in designer Casey Noble. Casey discovers that there is a lot of water damage and mold, and they have to gut the bathrooms. The owner, Lida, insists that the building is fine and resists Anthony's attempts to change her mind. Once Casey finishes the work, Lida breaks into tears and admits that Anthony was right all along.
#8: La Jolla Cove Suites. Designer: Blanche Garcia
La Jolla Cove Suites in San Diego, CA, has worn furniture in the rooms and dusty air conditioners. Anthony discovers that the owner, Krista, took over in 2001 and renovations had never been done. He sets out to transform the rooms to be worthy of the views. Blanche Garcia comes in to finish a three-room suite while keeping the crew happy. Krista is happy with the work when they're done and hugs Blanche.
#7: Litohoro Olympus Resort. Designer: Blanche Garcia
Anthony visits the Litohoro Olympus Resort in Greece, and discovers that there is a lack of guests. It's vacant 92% of the time Blanche comes in and transforms a villa into a party space. Anthony sends her out to find unemployed Greek workers to do the remodel. However, later, he finds fungus in the spa and shuts it down. Anthony asks Blanche to create a new spa, and her team manages to get it done on time. The designer gave it an exclusive feel and then turned it into a temporary spa.
#6: Triangle T Ranch. Designer: Casey Noble
Anthony goes to the Triangle T Ranch, home to famous Western movie stars. It takes Anthony a half hour to find the front desk and he brings in Casey Noble to give the guest a welcome center. After two days, Anthony doesn't see any improvements, and Casey explains that they're going to be checking in the guests the next day. Despite a five-minute warning from Anthony, Casey gets everything ready on time.
Bonus Transformations
Bonus transformations include a children's play center at the Catskill Mountain Lodge, a car transformed into a billboard for the New Yorker Hotel, and a seaside park at Baby Beach.
#5: Telemark Lodge. Designer: Blanche Garcia
At the Telemark Lodge in Cable, WI, Anthony discovers that the main function room is in bad shape. Blanche comes in and Anthony kids about gutting the hotel. He then shows her the function room and Blanche starts from scratch. The owners come in and Blanche shows them how she set up a business center, put in a coffee machine, and made it look like a five-star hotel.
Anthony Lends a Helping Hand
Blanche shares some scenes of Anthony helping out, pounding through walls and cleaning tiles.
#4: Missouri Flats Inn. Designer: Tenecia Harris
At the Missouri Flats Inn, Anthony makes it his mission to make the place suitable for the oil workers that live in Williston. He has Tenecia get into the mental state of the oil workers when they come back to their rooms from work. The GM, Nicole breaks into tears over the work that Tenecia does. The owner, Harry, was equally impressed. The designer builds a mud room with tiling and hooks for clothing.
#3: Curve Hotel. Designer: Casey Noble
Anthony goes to the Curve Hotel in Palm Springs and discovers that it has a confusing lobby. The owners tried to turn the budget hotel into a boutique hotel without much luck. Casey says that it needs an element of fun to it. However, Anthony sees the brown paint color and objects, but when Casey finishes, Anthony admits that it looks good. The owners are pleased, especially when they discover that Anthony put up photos of their dead uncle.
#2: Alpenhof Lodge. Designer: Blanche Garcia
The 50-room Alpenhof Lodge looks great from the outside, but has no Austrian flavor on the inside. The breakfast presentation is one-star and the room is too small. The father who owns the place insists that they do it his way even if it's 40 years out of date. Anthony shows Blanche the restaurant next-door and puts her to work. He doesn't like her color choice, and then talks to the owner who changes his tune and is much more open to change. Meanwhile, Blanche moved the breakfast over to the restaurant and got everything done just in time. The owner and his family are happy with the remodel and thank Anthony, who breaks into tears.
Honorable Mentions
At the Bromley Sun Lodge, designer Alison Victoria redoes the lobby. Casey Noble does the Ocean Crest Resort and creates an entirely new room. At the Crookston Inn, Blanche completely overhauls the function room.
#1: Hotel Leger. Designer: Blanche Garcia
The Hotel Leger dates back to the Gold Rush and they had to make the guests the attraction. The bar serves as the front desk, and Anthony brought Blanche in to show her a room they could use for the lobby. A historic jail cell is in the basement and Anthony wants to use it, but Blanche refuses after pointing out the open wiring and total lack of a foundation. She starts on the lobby and Anthony asks if she can do it if he gets her more people. The hotelier asks the townspeople for help and several hundred show up. Blanche managed to keep them organized on the toughest job that Anthony had ever given her. They transformed the old jail cell into a wine cellar and tasting area. The owners were happy with the basement are as well as the remodeled room off of the bar, complete with a front desk window. Anthony and the owners then thank the townspeople.
