• Heroes: NBC unsatisfied with the new season, co-exec producers fired! |
Big shakeup on the staff of NBC's "Heroes" came down on Sunday with the axing of co-exec producers Jesse Alexander and Jeph Loeb.
Both scribe-producers had been with the show since its first season and were known to have led the day-to-day production operation under the direction of creator/exec producer Tim Kring.
"Heroes," produced by Universal Media Studios, has struggled in the ratings its third season. It's understood that Alexander and Loeb were let go because of Peacock execs' frustration with the creative direction of the show. The show is also said to have been grappling with hefty budget overruns this season, that are going well beyond its already sizable $4 million per-seg pricetag.
Reps for NBC and UMS declined comment.

they lost me at the beginning of season 2 when they caved to trying to market the show by adding characters based on ethnicity to attrackt those viewers which made the first 8 episode bad, they redeamed themself by making the last 4 episodes of Season 2 suburb but by then i couldn't care lesss anymore and haven't continued with season 3, that and the annoyance that Sylar should of died dozens of times already which is the thing that annoys me the most guess they want to hold on to their only unique character badly |

| While I still love the show, and think S3 so far has been pretty good... I seem to find myself really struggling to figure out what the hell is going on. It seems very disjointed at times and very confusing. Maybe this will help straighten it out, I really hope so because I think this is a great show. |

funny, I was searching out who the writers of the show are because of this very thing.... season 3 is garbage!!!!! I wondered if they changed who was making the show between the first 2 seasons and this one.
Nobody EVER dies.... season 3 is like an alternate reality from seasons 1 and 2 with little to connect it all....this season is a travesty.
I think the only one who has ACTUALLY been killed off was Adam, and Im sure he's regenerating in the mind of someone somewhere.... or maybe Hiro will bring him back...
The dialogue is crap, the story lines are flawed and some of the acting is getting downright 'soap-ish' (meaning VERY CORNY)
Season 3 is a jumbled mess of half written story-lines and alternate reality bull**** , with no REAL consquences to any of it. No doubt declining viewership is due to the fact that nothing that happens really matters anymore, as it can all be changed on a whim.
I think the writers need to go too, not just the producers.
Some of the story is good, and could have worked well... but it's looking like its all been botched. This is one time I am in full agreement with the big nasty corporation of NBC |
