Episode discussion for: 03x25 | An Invisible Thread (Apr 27, 2009)
Ahh, Sylar. You creepy bastard.
Awesome episode. I felt kind of slighted at how they didn't show Peter, Sylar, and Nathan fighting it out, though. Huh. Maybe there was a reason they couldn't that was important to the rest of the episode that I just wasn't picking up.
Oh, Peter, you crafty SOB. Totally didn't see that coming. I am kind of curious why Sylar got morphed back into himself when he shook his hand. Maybe it only works if they both have the ability.
And as crazy as some of these people are, I would've thought they would've known trying to have Sylar be Nathan was a little too crazy. I mean, really?

Oh, and apropos, who knows about what actually happened with Nathan? I mean obviously Noah, Matt, and Angela... is that it? What did they do with his body?

As far as Heroes season finales go, this was definitely my favorite. Though it did seem a bit rushed in order to cram everything in.
Hiro's storyline was actually interesting. Getting to see a more serious side instead of using him for comic relief was a nice change.
I wish they would have shown the Peter/Sylar/Nathan fight scene too. Maybe the episode should have been two hours instead of shoving it all into one hour.

Yeah, two hours probably would've been better. Those White House scenes just flew by, and Matt almost seemed like a last minute addition.
I don't know if I liked this one or season one's finale better. I'm sure season two would've had a fantastic finale if not for the damn writer's strike. I dunno, I think I might like season one's finale better. That one was a real tearjerker.

True. It's hard to pick between season 1 and 3. Season 1 seemed to have all the build up to be a great finale, but didn't follow through. Looking back, the episode before the finale usually kicks serious ass: " I Am Sylar," "Truth & Consequences," "Landslide"

Agreed. "I Am Sylar" was the best penultimate season episode by a country mile.
To be fair I haven't really watched season 2 in a while. I'll have to see those episodes again sometime soon....

I'm guessing they didn't show the fight scene because of the budget. Might have cost a lot of money to film a fight scene like that.
Interesting twist, but does this mean Zachary Quinto is off the show??? I'll really miss him if he is, he was probably the best actor. Makes sense though since he had to film Star Trek sometime.

I dunno if he'll be back... I hope so, but I think it'll be cool to watch Nathan struggling with his persona if he doesn't come back.
ETA: Could be right about the budget thing. But what good is a season finale if you're not going to blow all your money on it?
