Episode Quotes |
| |
Future Peter: I made terrible mistakes. Stepped on too many butterflies. | Future Nathan: Stop. I'd like a moment with my brother alone.
Future Claire: Is this the President speaking, or my father?
Future Nathan: Both. | Future Claire: (to Future Knox and Future Daphne) I killed my uncle once and now I have to kill him again, so let me be a human being for just one second. | Peter: I don't know a thing about watches!
Future Sylar: If you want to learn how to access my ability, fix... the watch. Listen to it. Like a symphony, every piece has its part, all coming together in perfect harmony. If you can understand the complexities of a watch, you can understand anything - everything. Cause, effect... action, reaction... how to change the future. |

Episode Title: I Am Become Death
The episode title is a reference to a quote by Dr. J. Robert Oppenheimer delivered after seeing the first atomic bomb explode: "I am become death, the destroyer of worlds." This quote is also a line from the Bhagavad Gita. |

Episode References |
| |
Future Peter: I've stepped on too many butterflies.
Future Peter's line is a reference back to "The Butterfly Effect" in which Angela tells Peter about the butteryfly effect and the damage he's done. | Claire: (to Peter) Trying to teleport? Not with my friend here!
Mr. Bennet says the same thing to Matt in "Collision." | Various scenes in this episode were from the dream Peter has in "Genesis." |

Abilities Development
Peter Petrelli: Peter masters Sylar's intuitive analytical ability (and the hunger that comes with it), and is exposed to Knox's strength-enhancement from fear and Daphne's superspeed. |
