Angela and Peter square off over how to prevent a seemingly unstoppable worldwide catastrophe. Sylar heads up an attack on the Company's main facility, but is shocked by what he finds on Level 5. While battling Elle, a dozen criminals with potentially devastating abilities are able to escape the facility. Meanwhile, Claire makes a discovery about her abilities; Hiro and Ando follow Daphne to Paris; Suresh's research, as well as his relationship with Maya, progress; and Matt finds a guide to lead him through unfamiliar territory.

But... if Future Peter hadn't come back in time, Claire would have been at home where Sylar could have found her, because she would have had no reason to come to Odessa if Nathan hadn't been shot. |

The Butterfly Effect is a phrase that references chaos theory in which seemingly small changes in a system can cause large changes long-term. The term first came to prominence in Ray Bradbury's 1952 story A Sound of Thunder, when a man on a time travel expedition to the past steps on a butterfly and returns to the present to discover that history has now been substantially altered. | Usutu: (to Matt) No service here.
