| Deja vu? 4400?

I can't remember how long ago Season 2 of Heroes finished but it has been a long time and I was quite looking forward to it returning.
I have to say I am really dissappointed. It's been such a long time between the last season and this new season that I couldn't remember the state of play at the end of Season 2. Some of the episode was a bit confusing for me. So not a good start but probably my fault.
As I got ten minutes into the episode I realised..........I just wasn't interested in this show anymore. The same conspiracies and the same old ground being covered again just left me cold. Some new dimension(s) need to be added to this show because I think another season of the same old material will be its undoing.
The most disturbing thing about this episode(and what looks like the rest of this season) is the parallels with The 4400. The storyline that the essence of what gives these guys their powers can be extracted and given to the normal population was done in the 4400. The future echo that this essence being available to everyone causes a war.........has been done in the 4400.
The thing with The 4400 and Heroes is the 4400 had more depth and innvation but Heroes had a bigger budget.
Please inject something more into Heroes than the usual formula.
