The clock is set ahead five years where Hiro and Ando see what has become of the heroes after the destruction of New York. Following the explosion, those with abilities are forced to register themselves, while some are being hunted, imprisoned and killed. The President takes the steps necessary towards a "final solution" while Hiro and Ando get caught up in a final battle. Now that they've seen the future, can they change it?

| (talking about Future Hiro)
Hiro: I look upset.
Ando: Go. Talk to yourself.
Hiro: No way. I scare me. You do it. | Future Hiro: Save the cheerleader...
Hiro: ...save the world. | Matt: How can you not remember that?
Hiro: Because I have no idea what you are talking about. | Nathan: In your original assessment you posited a possible solution. Extinction.
Mohinder: Yes, but I never meant to suggest that….
Nathan: (reading the report) “They wouldn’t be the first species to be exterminated for the preservation of another.” Your words.
Mohinder: I was talking about the natural order of things. What you’re talking about is genocide. | Mohinder: You're one of them, Nathan! Are you suggesting I should send you off to the gas chambers as well?
Nathan: Please. I can fly. I wouldn't consider myself dangerous. | Hiro: (to Parkman) You are like me. Special. Why do you want to hurt other special people? | Ando: You've always wanted to become a kendo master.
Future Hiro: I studied in Tohoku, so technically I'm a Battojutsu master. | Mohinder: Hiro Nakamura can stop time. Teleport by folding space. Theoretically, he can fold time as well.
Matt: So you're saying he's a time traveler.
Mohinder: Is that any stranger than being able to read someone's mind?
Matt: Yeah, it is. |
Peter: Do you remember how he used be — all full of hope and optimism?
Ando: Of course, that's the Hiro I know."
Peter: It went away the day you died. Between you and me, I think you're the reason why he became so obsessed with changing it all back. He wants to save you. | Peter: (to Niki, in the future) Because it was me! The bomb -- it was me. I killed all those people. I killed Micah. | Ando: Is everything okay?
Future Peter: No. Let's go fix it. | Future Hiro: Should we freeze time?
Future Peter: Nah, I haven't had a good fight in years. | Hiro: No, Future Me! He's good guy! | Peter: You will pay for what you did to Nathan. What you did in his name!
Sylar: What I did? When I killed your brother, he had already turned against his own kind.
Peter: Liar. | (after arriving back in the present)
Hiro: Now for the hard part. |

| Midway through the episode, a guard takes Ando and holds him by the neck. When the shot returns, Ando is free. | When Future Hiro and Ando run from the Homeland Security building, Hiro tells Ando to take his clothes off. As Ando begins to take articles of clothing, the amount he has on changes between shots. |
