In New York, an invisible Peter and Claude struggle, and Peter explains his ability. Claude understands Peter's powers and says that he's "one of those." When Peter tries to explain his vision of destroying New York City, Claude tells him to get out of town then gets out of range so that Peter turns visible and loses sight of him.

An orderly gives the straitjacketed Niki an injection.
At home, Matt and Janice Parkman test Matt's abilities.
As Hank examines Sylar, Mr. Bennet enters the cell and gets a report. Hank informs him that Sylar's lifesigns are irregular and Bennet tells him to keep Sylar alive no matter what.
Hiro and Ando go to the parking garage to get their car, and Hiro tries to reverse the clock two minutes so they don't have to pay extra. Failing, he insists to Ando that he needs the sword to restore his powers, and perhaps to kill the exploding man. They go to their car but find a man with a gun waiting for them. They run to an approaching van, but another thug emerges from it and they flee into the parking garage.

Nathan visits Mohinder at his apartment to find out where Peter is. Mohinder says he's looking too and the last he knew Peter was in Texas. Nathan brings him up to date on Peter's illness and that he's worried he's going to hurt someone. Mohinder explains about Chandra's list and the fact Nathan and Peter are both on it. Nathan isn't interested in himself and Mohinder explains that Peter can duplicate powers, and if he duplicates too many or duplicates an unstable power, he could pose a danger. Nathan asks if there's a cure and Mohinder admits that it's possible but he'll need to work with Peter to find one and if he does he can help all of the evolved heroes.
Peter finds Claude living atop the Deveaux building and comments on the coincidence that Peter worked there. Peter insists he needs to learn how to control his powers the way Claude does, but Claude says that kind of power can't be controlled and the only solution is to kill Peter. He leaves, telling Peter not to find him.

Claire and Zach check Mr. Bennet's home computer trying to find any hidden files. When Mr. Muggles starts barking, Claire and Zach try to shut down the computer. Mr. Bennet comes in and notices the computer is on, and Claire says they were doing homework and using the Internet. She says that the school paired her and Zach up for homework but Bennet notes that they used to be friends. Once he leaves, Claire meets with Zach in her room and hangs a wind chime on the window, saying she was told to leave it as a signal by the Haitian.
Matt and Janice discuss Matt's abduction and Matt insists he's going to take Bennet down. He hears her thinking that he should go to the FBI but he admits that they've already dismissed him as a nut after the failed raid at Primatech. As he prepares to go to his review hearing, he overhears her thinking about the plumber and says he'll call. She wonders if he can't stay out of her head, or won't.
In the parking garage, Hiro and Ando hide under a car and Hiro says that he will never surrender. Unfortunately, the person who owns the car their hiding under pulls away and the men from the van spot them. Hiro manages to get away but they catch Ando. Hiro goes back and insists that they take him with them in return for letting Ando go. They take Hiro and Ando away.

Psychiatrist Dr. Witherson meets with her and Niki tries to warn the doctor how dangerous she is, and that only the drugs are keeping Jessica weak. Witherson wonders if Niki is suffering from multiple personality disorder and offers Niki her help. Niki says it's too late and asks for another shot, but Witherson refuses and then leaves.

She complains that she has to keep lying to her father and he wonders if she'd prefer he wipe her memories for her real. She asks him if he knows her real parents and he admits that Mr. Bennet had told him her mother died in an explosion in Texas 14 years ago. He advises her to forget her real parents and stay away from him so Mr. Bennet doesn't become suspicious.
Mr. Bennet comes home and chats with his wife about Claire's book report. He admits he's worried about her while Sandra wonders about Lyle, who's been absent-minded recently. Matt meets with the review board, who go over his report about Mr. Bennet. They ask if he insists on standing by the story and Matt "hears" one officer hoping Matt will say yes so they can fire him. Matt decides to recant his report, saying he made it up so he'd look like a hero. They give him a six-month suspension while they review his case. When Matt comes home, he finds Janice working with the broken sink pipes.

The thugs are taking Hiro and Ando through the streets in the van and one of them says they know all about Hiro's mission. He says their employers wants Hiro to stop and offers them tickets back to Japan. Hiro refuses to be bribed and the man warns that his employer won't like it.
Peter is at his apartment packing with Nathan and Mohinder arrive. Peter admits he plans on leaving town and Mohinder asks to do tests so they can cure him. Peter insists there's no time and prepares to leave, but Nathan says he'll have Peter declared insane and locked up if necessary. Peter runs outside and Nathan and Mohinder chase after him, only to find he's disappeared. They spot an open window and figure Peter flew away… unaware that Claude is there, has grabbed Peter, and they're both invisible. After Nathan and Mohinder leave, Claude takes Peter into the apartment and admits he's not going to let Peter kill everyone even though he's not much of a people-person. He warns Peter that learning control will take a lot of work.
Matt finishes repairing the sink and admits to Janice that he was suspended, and how his powers haven't helped him. She says they need to trust each other and concentrates, asking Matt to read her mind. He does and, realizing she's pregnant, grabs her in excitement.

D.L. phases into Niki's cell and admits he's having trouble handling things without her. He says he'll try to get her out but Niki says not to bother as she needs to be there a long time. She gives him some hints for how to deal with Micah and then asks him to leave.

On the streets, Micah goes to an ATM machine and uses his power to get it to dispense money.
Claire is at home talking to Zach about Meredith Gordon when her father arrives. She hangs up and lies about their report, and he chats with her. He says he'll always be there for her but Claire insists she needs to learn how to deal with her own problems. As he leaves, he notices the wind chimes and considers them suspiciously.
Niki meets with Witherson again and insists her family needs her so she needs to get rid of Jessica. Witherson asks to speak with Jessica but Niki warns against it. The doctor says that if she can't deal with Jessica, Niki may never get released. As Witherson prepares to leave, Niki asks her to wait.
D.L. is waiting for Micah when he gets home and tries to explain about Niki. Micah apologizes for getting angry and shows D.L. the money he took. When D.L. asks where it came from, Micah says he has a secret too.
The men take Hiro and Ando to a secluded building and open the van door to reveal… Hiro's father.
