Episode Quotes

Gossip Girl: (voiceover) And who am I ? That's one secret I'll never tell. You know you love me. XOXO, Gossip Girl.

Dan: So, think I got a chance at a second date?
Serena: Well, I don't think you can top this one.
Dan: I did punch someone.
Serena: True. We'll talk about it in the cab.

Gossip Girl: (closing voiceover) Spotted Serena making an heroic exit from B's party. Too bad for her there's school on Monday. So, until next time, you know you love me, Gossip Girl.

Serena: Oh my God, this is so good! Thank you!
Chuck: You know, if you really want to thank me, I've got a few ideas.
Serena: It's just a sandwich, Chuck.

Serena: You asked me out on a date and you didn't think I was nice?
Dan: No, I just thought you were hot. And, technically, you asked me out.

Lillian: You think you're so cute. Wash that band. Crappy so-called art gallery.
Rufus: Well, not all of us have settlements from multiple divorces to sustain us.

Serena: You just love it when a girl talks to you.
Chuck: Actually I prefer them when they're not talking.
Serena: Hmm, I've missed your witty banter.

Chuck: You guys have been dating since Kindergarten and you haven't sealed the deal?
Nate: Who says "seal the deal"?

Nate: Serena.
Serena: No, no.
Nate: But you're back now.
Serena: I didn't come back for you.

(Serena gives Nate a bottle of champagne; the cork pops off and it spills all over them)
Nate: Oops! I swear, that's never happened to me before.
Serena: That's okay, you're still a man in my eyes.

Jenny: So we should just be anonymous losers who eat lunch alone and never get invited to parties?
Dan: Works for me.

Chuck: Who's the newbie?
Kati: Jenny Humphrey, she's a freshman.
Chuck: I love freshmen. They're so --
Isabel: Fresh?

Episode Goofs

Near the end of the episode when Dan, Serena and Jenny get into a cab, Jenny gets in first followed by Serena and then Dan. However, when the shot changes to the interior of the cab, Dan is sitting in between Jenny and Serena instead of to the far left next to Serena.

In this episode, Nate and Chuck ride the public bus to school. In every subsequent episode, a private limo drives them to school instead.
