Episode Quotes

Richard: (to Emily) Personally, I like you with glasses.
Lorelai: It's that whole dirty librarian thing, huh Dad.

Lorelai: What's that smell?
Sookie: 68 pounds of marijuana.
Lorelai: Mm.

Richard: Have you ever been to South Dakota? It's the most boring state in the nation. As I was flying in I swear I saw one of the heads on Mount Rushmore yawn.

Logan: (to Rory) Thank you for being who I want to get out of hospital for.

Luke: Uh, who are they?
Liz: They're the support group of single moms I hooked up with. They're horrible! All they do is bitch, bitch, bitch. I'd have left every one of them too.

(on the phone; Emily demands that Lorelai drive her around after her eye surgery)
Lorelai: And there's no one else?
Emily: I don't remember being in labor for 14 hours with anyone else, so, no, there's no one else.

Liz: It's okay, it's a good surprise. It's only not a good surprise if you don't like babies.
Luke: You're pregnant?!
Liz: Who told you?
Luke: You just did.
Liz: Oh, I ruined my own surprise.

Richard: (to Emily) Personally, I like you with glasses.
Lorelai: It's that whole dirty librarian thing, huh Dad.

Episode Title: Driving Miss Gilmore

The episode title comes from the movie Driving Miss Daisy.

Rory: She looks better with the black hair. The blonde hair made her look like her sister.
Lorelai: No, she looked better with the blonde hair. The black hair made her look like she was trying not to look like her sister.

Rory and Lorelai are arguing about sisters Ashlee and Jessica Simpson. Ashlee has dyed black hair, trying to be different than her sister's blonde hair.

Lorelai: Oh, I'm sorry, Mrs. Onassis, I was looking for my mother.

In this scene, Emily's sunglasses are similar to the ones often worn by Jackie Kennedy-Onassis.
