| pretty awesome before it was cancelled

family guy is a very underrated show, if you ask me. the animation is pretty awesome in contrast to other adult-animated shows. i like the shock value humor and goes through a lot of critism since many people think it copies th simpsons ( which it doesn't). so i applaud family guy since despite all the negative attention it can get from critics and extremely hard-core simpsons fans, it has a devoted following that will keep family guy's ratings so high it could reach mt. everest. after the end of season 4 (if i'm right) fox cancelled family guy. however aorund one or two years later (not that good with seasons/years when it comes to family guy). they decided to bring it back because a lot of people were buying the show's dvds and when it was back in the air i was excited and couldn't wat a second longer. but during the middle part of its new season after cancelling i started to see dissaponintment in the show's quality. this worried me becasue i feared family guy was going under the same thing the simpsons were .......... jumping the shark! unfortunately, it was when the episdoes were less interesting and completely relying on gross/ offensive humorwithout adding anything else. however like hte simpsons eventually did, family guy was gaining a little progress making good but not great epsiodes. even though famly guy hasn't completely redeemed itself; it still is a good show.
