I wonder if there´s a longer version of the workout music we hear when stewie builds up his muscles.

Closer yet - it may be an allusion to the 1987 movie "Can't Buy Me Love" where a loser, tired of being a nerd, makes a deal with one of the most popular girls in school to help him break into the "cool" clic.

And indeed that's what happens.

It starred Patrick Dempsey ("Dr. Mc Dreamy" on TVs Grey's Anatomy) as the nerd.
Oh.... and his brother was portrayed by none other than Family Guy's own Seth Green..!
So I think this reference is probably the right one.

I was not familiar with that film but it makes sense to me.
