| The quarterback in the football game is black, but his hands appear to be white. Then after he is tackled, his hands become black.

Lois is speaking of Nancy Kerrigan, the bronze medal winner at the 1992 Winter Olympics.
The thing “she had coming” was an incident when she was clubbed in the knee by Shane Stant at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships in Detroit. Stant had been hired to assault her by Tonya Harding's ex-husband Jeff Gillooly and friend Shawn Eckardt.
