Episode Goofs

When Stewie is listening to Persian radio, the DJ says the song just played was Roxette: "You Got The Look", the song is actually called "The Look"

Peter is envious and very impressed when he sees the flip down tv/dvd player in a passing car.
He shouldn't be since they have/had a flip down tv in the car in the episode 'Road to Rupert'

During the 'Back to the Future' parody Peter has the backpack on over both shoulders but as he waves to the women in the gym it's only over one shoulder & switches back to both shoulders

Cultural References

The title 'Baby Not on Board' refers to novelty signs people hung in their cars back windows. They began as a real product to detour tailgating but quickly became a fad in the mid 80's.

Peter: "I'm gonna need this, I've had a stressful morning"

Peter duplicates Marty McFly's (Michael J. Fox) morning commute skateboarding scene from Back to the Future

Peter: "Ahhh this is more like it"

Peter receives a massage from Molly Jensen (Demi Moore) & Sam Wheat (Patrick Swayze) as they use his back fat to duplicate the pottery scene from 1990's GHOST complete with the love theme, 'Unchained Melody' by the The Righteous Brothers

Carl & Chris discuss a possible plot hole in Lord of the Rings trilogy and the 1983 movie Krull

Peter: "Relax Lois, nothing bad ever happens to Space Shuttles"

(Obvious) Reference to the fact 2 shuttles, the Challenger and Columbia were both destroyed in 1986 during take off & 2003 during reentry respectively

Fozzie: "I once knew a guy who was so Arab..."
Sword Wielding Saudi Man: (angrily) "How Arab was he?!"
Fozzie: "Uh... He was so Arab that everybody liked him and there was nothing funny about him at all."

This joke is taken from 1979's The Muppet Movie but instead of "Arab" Fozzie says "Fat", and instead of a sword wielding Arab, a fat sailor threatens Fozzie w/ a broken bottle.

Peter: "like Fozzie Bear when he went to Saudi Arabia"

The Muppet's Fozzie Bear performs for the Saudis

The family sings Bette Midler's song The Rose

Meg: "That's a great idea mom, Hey maybe we can go to the island from Lost"
Stewie: "No I don't want to listen to Matthew Fox's heavy breathing"

Allusion to the ABC show LOST & Matthew Fox's apparent line reading

1998 movie 'Patch Adams' starring Robin Williams

Stewie: "It's Cleveland and Bob Hope"

Allusion to the fact that Quagmire looks like the caricature of Bob Hope often scene during his tv specials

Peter's speech to Lois after she blows up at him is in reference to 1987's Planes, Trains and Automobiles starring Steve Martin & John Candy. It was Del Griffith (John Candy) speech to Neal Page (Steve Martin)

Joe: "This is my wheelchair! There are many like it but this one is mine! Without me my wheelchair is useless! Without my wheelchair I am useless!"

Reference to 1987's Full Metal Jacket. A play on the United States Marine Corps 'Rifleman's Creed'
(Not sure how the talking phone fits in though)

Peter: "They're watching Operation Dumbo Sex w/ Don Knotts"

Take off of the title of the 1995 Disney movie Operation Dumbo Drop that starred Danny Glover & Ray Liotta

Stewie: "Otherwise we'll be in worse shape than morbidly obese Albert"

Parody of Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids (1972-1985)

Cleveland aka The Cleveland Show

Mike Henry in the guise of Cleveland mentions his upcoming spin off series Cleveland that airs Fall 2009.

The plot is has elements from Macaulay Culkin's 1990 movie Home Alone including the music when the family finally comes home
