The family watches Ellen DeGeneres' talk show, “Ellen: The Ellen DeGeneres Show” (2003-) where she interviews Seth Rogan | Meg: “Mom, do you ever feel... not so fresh down there?”
Lois: “No. There must be something wrong with you.”
Meg: “Really?”
Lois: “Yeah, I've never had that problem and I don't know any woman who has.”
Reference to a Massengill Douche commercial from the 80's, also an allusion to the earlier FG episode, “Brian: Portrait of a Dog” where in Brian's favorite commercial, a daughter asks her mother the same question and the mother reacts in a similar fashion as Lois does. | Peter: “Didn't you do an interview with that fast talking Fed Ex guy?”
Peter is referring to American actor John Moschitta (1954-), (who provided his own voice for this episode).

The characters “Det. Lennie Briscoe” (played by Jerry Orbach (1935-2004)) & “Det. Mike Logan” (played by Chris Noth (1954-)) appear in the cutaway. | FOX Executive: “Now run home Lois, run as fast as you can!”
Reference to the 1971 movie “Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory” when the candy store owner tells Charlie the same thing after he finds the golden ticket.
Once again the instrumental version of “(I've Got a) Golden Ticket” that was sung in the movie by Charlie and Grandpa Joe is used.
Also Lois falling on her boob is a throwback to the earlier episode, “Wasted Talent” when Peter falls and hurts his knee after finding the final silver scroll. | FOX Executive: “That one's kinda fun. It emits a noise only Al Gore can hear”
