When Chris gets expelled from school, the family enrolls him in a snooty boarding school Mr. Pewterschmidt attended, but Chris doesn't exactly fit in. Meanwhile, the chicken returns to pick a fight with Peter, but you'll never guess how it all ends.

“The Nutcracker” is a fairy tale-ballet in two acts, three scenes, by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, composed in 1891–92.
Alexandre Dumas père's adaptation of the story "The Nutcracker and the Mouse King" by E.T.A. Hoffmann was set to music by Tchaikovsky.

Peter believed it had too little physical comedy.

The slave ship cut away scene may be an allusion to the real ship & 1997 movie “Amistad” starring Morgan Freeman, Anthony Hopkins, Djimon Hounsou & Matthew McConaughey, about a slave ship and the mutiny that occurred aboard it in 1839.

Allusion to Mel Gibson's 1995 movie “Braveheart”.
William Wallace. a commoner, unites the 13th Century Scots in their battle to overthrow English rule.
Before the final battle Wallace gives a stirring speech to inspire the men to victory.
Stewie's speech although it brought up a good point was anything but inspiring.

“Jiffy Pop” is a brand of pop corn that's made pretty much exactly as it's shown in the episode

Reference to “DeVry Institute” & the fact it's not very hard to get enrolled in the school.
 
During the fight between Peter & Ernie they are launched into the air and hit a passing biplane causing the pilot to be ejected.
The famous “Wilhelm Scream” is heard when he goes flying from his seat.
 
1981's “Indiana Jones & the Raiders of the Lost Ark” starring Harrison Ford is referenced when Peter and Ernie are in the biplane. Ernie pulls a giant snake from the cockpit causing Peter to scream.

When Indy escapes the natives in Jock's plane, there's a pet snake in the plane to which Indy states “I hate snakes, Jock. I hate 'em”


 
The roller coaster detaching itself and rolling down the street is a reference to a scene from Steven Spielberg's 1979 film “1941”

“Liar Liar” is a 1997 comedy starring Jim Carry, Jennifer Tilly & Swoosie Kurtz where Fletcher Reede's (Carry) son makes a birthday wish where his lawyer father can't lie for 24 hours.

“King Friday XIII” is a puppet character who rules the “Land of Make Believe” from the PBS show “Mister Rogers Neighborhood” (1968-2001)
 
Full Metal Jacket

The scene where a sleeping Chris wakes up as he's held down by a blanket and his roommates at the Academy hit his stomach with socks filled with money is a reference to Stanley Kubrick's 1987 movie Full Metal Jacket.

Virgil Mastercard: “Well I love her politics but how is she in bed ?”
Rogers Chapstick: “Well as anyone if Florida will tell you, she knows how to rig an erection”


Katherine Harris is the former Secretary of State of Florida and a former member of the United States House of Representatives.
She rose to national attention due to her controversial role as Secretary of State of Florida during the 2000 presidential election.

There were allegations of conflicts of interest and partisan and unethical behavior during the 2000 campaign among Democrats, who lost the election, fairly, even though there were numerous recounts.
Harris certified that the Republican candidate, then-Texas Governor George W. Bush, had defeated the Democratic candidate, then-Vice President Al Gore, in the popular vote of Florida and thus certified the Republican slate of electors.

The margin separating Bush from Gore was 537 votes. Harris ordered a halt after several recounts. Her ruling was challenged, and she prevailed in the first court of jurisdiction, and then overturned on appeal by the notorious liberals on Florida's Supreme Court

The “Skull and Bones Society” is a real organization that's based at Yale University, in New Haven, Connecticut

Ryan Seacrest is a professional host.
He is best known for being the host of FOX's show “American Idol”.
He had morning talk show called “On-Air with Ryan Seacrest” that only lasted 8 months in 2004 and currently has a radio show w/ that same name.
He also co-hosts “E! News” on the E! Entertainment Network and does their “Countdown To The...” red carpet shows. He also recently signed a deal to host “New Year's Rockin' Eve” on ABC.
