| “The Nutcracker” is a fairy tale-ballet in two acts, three scenes, by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, composed in 1891–92.
Alexandre Dumas père's adaptation of the story "The Nutcracker and the Mouse King" by E.T.A. Hoffmann was set to music by Tchaikovsky.
Peter believed it had too little physical comedy.

The scene where a sleeping Chris wakes up as he's held down by a blanket and his roommates at the Academy hit his stomach with socks filled with money is a reference to Stanley Kubrick's 1987 movie Full Metal Jacket.

Katherine Harris is the former Secretary of State of Florida and a former member of the United States House of Representatives.
She rose to national attention due to her controversial role as Secretary of State of Florida during the 2000 presidential election.
There were allegations of conflicts of interest and partisan and unethical behavior during the 2000 campaign among Democrats, who lost the election, fairly, even though there were numerous recounts.
Harris certified that the Republican candidate, then-Texas Governor George W. Bush, had defeated the Democratic candidate, then-Vice President Al Gore, in the popular vote of Florida and thus certified the Republican slate of electors.
The margin separating Bush from Gore was 537 votes. Harris ordered a halt after several recounts. Her ruling was challenged, and she prevailed in the first court of jurisdiction, and then overturned on appeal by the notorious liberals on Florida's Supreme Court
