Barbara Pewterschmidt, voiced by Alex Borstein

Name: Barbara Pewterschmidt
Age: Unknown but assumed to be between 60 & 70
Status: Currently married to Carter Pewterschmidt (Ex wife of Ted Turner)

Barbara is the mother of Lois, Carol and as we learn in “Fat Guy Strangler”, (& then unknown to Lois and Carol), a son named Patrick.
It it seen in an unfinished animatic on one of the DVD sets, Carter and Barbara have another daughter who is a twin to Lois that is kept in a cage in the basement, however she has never been mentioned in the series proper.

Barbara was first introduced in the episode “Peter, Peter, Caviar Eater”.
It is unknown whether she dislikes Peter as much as Carter does but she has so far never defended him either.

She appears in “Bill and Peter's Bogus Journey” when after Lois sleeps with Bill Clinton, Peter chooses Barbara after Lois tells him the only way they can be even is if he sleeps with another woman.

Barbara has made appearances in the episodes, “Peter, Peter, Caviar Eater”, “Screwed the Pooch”, “Peter Griffin: Husband, Father...Brother?”, “Family Guy Viewer Mail #1”, “Model Misbehavior”, “The Fat Guy Strangler”, “Peterotica”, “Bill and Peter's Bogus Journey”, “Blue Harvest” (as Aunt Beru), “Padre De Familia” & “Ocean's Three and a Half”

Carter Pewterschmidt, voiced by Seth MacFarlane

Carter Pewterschmidt
Born: 1938
Age: 71
Status: Married to Barbara Pewterschmidt

Carter is the father of Lois, Carol and as we learn in “Fat Guy Strangler”, (& then unknown to Lois and Carol), a son named Patrick.
It it seen in an unfinished animatic on one of the DVD sets, Carter and Barbara have another daughter who is a twin to Lois that is kept in a cage in the basement, however she has never been mentioned in the series proper.

Lois also suggests in “Screwed the Pooch” that Carter has fathered a bi-racial child unknown to Barbara.

He is a millionaire who is friends with the likes of Michael Eisner, Ted Turner & Bill Gates.

He was first introduced in the episode “Peter, Peter, Caviar Eater” and we learn he hates Peter and would do anything to get rid of him, including once offering Peter a million dollars to leave Lois.

In “Peter Griffin: Husband, Father...Brother?”, we learn that Carter's ancestors once owned Peter's ancestor Nate Griffin and paid Peter $12,000 in reparations.

Carter does not believe in gay marriage or legalizing pot, mainly because legalizing pot cuts into his profits in the timber industry.

In the episode “Peterotica”, Carter gives Peter 5 dollars so he can publish his series of erotic novels.
Due to a traffic accident involving a reader, Carter is sued and losses all his money.
Barbara leaves him and marries Ted Turner only to soon divorce him and returning to Carter taking half of Ted's fortune with her.

To show how much contempt he has for Peter, Carter has made him eat a pine cone, drink his blood, pushed him into a fire & retrieve a $5 bill at the bottom of a jar filled with salt and barbed wire however in the episode, “Padre De Familia”, Carter finds a small soft spot in his heart to hire Peter to work at his estate when Peter can't find work anywhere else.

In the episode “Ocean's Three and a Half”, Peter, Cleveland, Glen & Joe attempt to steal Carter's money to help pay Joe's medical bills. Joe eventually stops them and Lois asks Carter to load her the money. When Peter asks how she got the money from her father, she tells him it was to hire a divorce attorney.

In “Peter's Progress”, we discover that apparently in a past life Carter was a man named Lord Redbush who was the father of Lady Redbush who happened to look a lot like his daughter Lois.

Carter has made appearances in the episodes, “Peter, Peter, Caviar Eater”, “Death Lives”, “Screwed the Pooch”, “Peter Griffin: Husband, Father...Brother?”, “Family Guy Viewer Mail”, “Model Misbehavior”, “The Fat Guy Strangler”, “Peterotica”, “Bill and Peter's Bogus Journey”, “Blue Harvest” (as Uncle Owen), “Believe it or Not, Joe's Walking on Air”, “Padre De Familia”, “Ocean's Three and a Half”, “420”, “Three Kings” (as Warden Norton) & “Peter's Progress” (as Lord Redbush)

Herbert, voiced by Mike Henry (1)

Herbert is an old man that was first introduced in “To Love and Die in Dixie”. He was a customer on Chris' paper delivery route. He has a dog named Jesse although Jesse hasn't been seen since “Bill and Peter's Bogus Journey”

It is assumed he also a registered sex offender because of his comments to the mayoral candidate Lois in “It Takes a Village Idiot, and I Married One”

It is also assumed Herbert is a homosexual because in “Dixie” we learned very early he was attracted Chris calling him “muscly arm” and trying to get him in his house by bribing him with Popsicles.

Chris seemed oblivious to Herbert's attentions until the episode “Play It Again, Brian” when Chris finally asked him if he's a pedophile.
However, his interests have turned away from Chris in recent episodes.
In “Movin' Out (Brian's Song)” he seemed very excited that Stewie took over Chris' paper route and in “The Tan Aquatic with Steve Zissou” Herbert was using another paperboy entirely named Kyle.

We learn in “Padre De Familia” he is a war veteran and received a purple heart.

Even though Mike Henry has left Family Guy, it was stated in an episode commentary on Volume 7 his others characters will remain in Quahog so Herbert should still make appearances from time to time.

Jim Kaplan, voiced by Danny Smith (6)

Jim Kaplan is a conman, characterized by his permanent wide insincere smile.

He runs his own a bank that doubles as a tattoo parlor in which he specializes in Kermit the Frog.

Many of his cons are directed at Peter since he is so gullible and easy to fool.
He was also once a sports agent, willing to give his clients anything he owns to get them to sign a contract.
He sold Peter volcano insurance & a tank, when he took Meg out to buy a car.

Jim Kaplan has appeared in the episodes, “There's Something About Paulie”, “Ready, Willing, and Disabled”, “When You Wish Upon a Weinstein” & “Hell Comes to Quahog”

Mayor Adam West, voiced by Adam West

The Mayor of Quahog is Adam West. He is very eccentric.
He's married his hand, has a crossbow that shoots cats, he sent all the Quahog police to South America to rescue a movie character, is afraid of zombies, believes someone is stealing his water, has slept with Luke Perry, thinks he's a tomato, used the town's funds to build a solid gold statue of Dig'em the Sugar Smacks Frog & rolled in toxic waste in the attempts to gain superpowers among other things.

Adam West made his first appearance in “Fifteen Minutes of Shame” & has appeared in the episodes...
