"Emeril Live" is a show seen on the Food Network and is hosted by Emeril Lagasse. The show uses many of the same elements as in his other television show, "Essence of Emeril". The show used to air in front of a live audience in New York, but in 2004, the show moved to Chelsea Market. In 1997, Emeril Live won a Cable Ace Award for the best informational show. Also, the show began production in the year of 1997. Sometimes they have other famous chefs to work along side with Emeril and help make disshes. When Emeril Lagasse finishes preparing the meal, he often allows people from the audience to try it first-hand. He has also been known to have many catchphrases such as "Bam!" and "Kick it up a notch".
