Episode Summary |
| |
Chowder loves to chew on grubble gum, which is the reason he has decided to purchase some. In order to prevent any problems, he decides to purchase an extra piece so that he can give it to Truffles, as he knows that bad things usually happen to those who don’t share gum with her. However, when he accidentally chews all of the gum, he decides to swallow it in order to prevent Truffles from realizing what happened. Little did he know, however, that swallowing grubble gum results in many odd side affects, and now he must employ the help of Mung Daal and Shnitzel in order to help hide his secret from Truffles, lest he be forced to pay the consequences.

| Mung Daal: Ah, good morning, Chowder. Hand me a dilly hammer, would you? Ah, thank you.
(Mung Daal grabs the hammer, but Chowder can’t let go due to the grubble gum)
Mung Daal: Uh, Chowder? Thank you means let go. Let go, Chowder. Look, you can’t eat it, so let go!
| Mung Daal: Good gravy! What’s gotten into you, and onto you?!
Chowder: I swallowed a whole bunch of grubble gum.
Mung Daal: Oh, sweat peas! Please tell me you shared with Truffles!
Chowder: (crying) No.
Mung Daal: Why?! Why didn’t you share?!
Chowder: I ate it all by accident!
Mung Daal: Chowder, I may be an old man, but I don’t want to die today!

Mung Daal: Well, I’m open to suggestions.
Kiwi: End the show now.
Mung Daal: No, no, that’s no good.

Mung Daal: Heavens no, that’s too dangerous.
(The scene changes to show the trio poking a bear with a stick)

The man selling screams told the pig that he had to pay one dollar, as one dollar purchased three screams. However, dollars do not exist in the world of Chowder; the scream vendor should have asked for one dollop.
When the gum passed the diameter of the whole world, the beggining`s scene was repeated that Chowder eats the gum, but along with the planet.It has been revealed from where is the screaming and there`s no other life planet than the Earth.

Visual: The giant ball of gum rolls over everything and everybody, slowly growing larger and larger. The background music changes to something fast paced and upbeat.
This is a reference to the video game series entitled Katamari Damacy, where the player had to roll around a bunch of debris until it became large enough for the mission to be cleared. The background music that played during this scene was also very similar to the music featured in the games.

Chowder’s remark towards Panini is a reference towards the episode entitled "Chowder's Girlfriend", which aired on November 2nd, 2007. In that episode, Chowder went to great lengths to prove that he wasn’t Panini’s boyfriend, including a theatrical performance entitled “I’m not your boyfriend”.

Möbius Loop
This episode exists within a möbius loop. In the beginning of the episode, Chowder selects a ball of grubble gum and begins to chew upon it, only to hear a bunch of screaming as he does such. Towards the end of the episode, Chowder’s grubble gum turns into a ball and it slowly grows larger and larger as it grabs everything and everybody, a la Katamari Damacy. When the ball finally comes to a stop, after growing as large as the world, the screen zooms out and the ball is shown to be the size of a normal piece of grubble gum. Chowder then selects the grubble gum and begins to chew upon it, only to hear a bunch of screaming as he does such. This means that the episode is technically never ending, as the episode could be watched over and over again and run seamlessly. This fact was actually referenced during Chowder’s dream, as a möbius loops were one of the many side effects of swallowing grubble gum.
