	Detective Mack "Mac" Taylor, played by Gary Sinise Head of the sqaud and long time NY cop he brings a wealth of personal and professional experiance to the job. He began his carrear of public service as a Marine corps soldier and was a victim of the infamous Marine barracks bombing in Lebanon. After his four years in the core he joined the NYPD to become a lead investigator with crime scene investigation unit.
