Two of the investigators are discussing the involvement of a movie star in a murder. Calleigh says to the other that the movie star lied to them about not owning a firearm. Her coworker replied, "He registered a handgun?" to which Calleigh smiles, nods and says, "9 mil" (9 millimeter). Florida law neither requires nor provides a method to register handguns. Florida does issue a "Concealed Weapon or Firearm License" which legally permits the licensee to carry a handgun concealed, but application for the license does not require divulging any information about the gun. |
