Title: Burn Out
"Burn Out" is a slang word for overworking oneself in a specific physical or mental endeavor, leading to a physical or mental need to break completely away from the endeavor, usually negating the effects towards which the work was being performed. A gymnast working too hard to perfect their ability as a gymnast, for example, needing to quit gymnastics for a long enough time to ruin their chances to be a champion, or a high school student studying too hard to get their grades up for Harvard, having a mental breakdown and dropping out of high school instead. |
