A woman is kidnapped from a supermarket. While investigating, Grissom finds evidence that suggests that five other women have already been killed, creating a race to find out who the kidnapper is. After being caught on duty in a casino and suspended, a reinstated Warrick is paired up with Sara for a robbery-murder case. Sara is concerned with Warrick's devotion to duty as well as his clear gambling problem. Meanwhile, Nick is asked for help by the prostitute he befriended in the pilot episode, after she has problems with a hotel's security staff.
