• Brothers & Sisters to Hollywood for Elissa Sursara |
For newcomer actress Elissa Sursara, a minor Guest Star gig on the hit television show Brothers & Sisters was just what the Hollywood doctor ordered.
After witnessing the Australian born Brazilian actress "while flicking through television one evening", writer and director Catherine Hardwicke, the force behind acclaimed indie flick Thirteen starring Evan Rachel Wood, claims she was "struck by [Elissa], I knew she would be perfect for my new film."
For Sursara, who began acting in minor spots on a variety of television hows, before landing love interest roles in music videos and guest starring roles on television shows Gilmore Girls, Supernatural, NCIS and Scrubs, the leading role could potentially propel her into A-list limelight.
Reportedly scheulded to begind production in late 2008, early 2009, after Sursara has finished filming on previous commitments, including new movie Sex Is Bad, Ok? starring alongside Julia Roberts and Meryl Streep, Catherine Hardwicke's latest (and untitled) project (said to be inspired by the classic 'Lolita' film) is anticipated to showcase Sursara, and Hardwicke's abilities.
