FOX has renewed its veteran dramas "Bones" and "House."

The former pickup comes after weeks of heated negotiations with producer 20th Century Fox Television over the show's license fee. The studio went so far as to begin pitching the series to the other broadcast networks in its quest to land a fifth season. Nevertheless, the sister companies ultimately reached a pact amicable to both parties.

Creator Hart Hanson confirmed the news via his Twitter account this afternoon.

As for "House," the show's renewal was never an issue however the network and producer Universal Media Studios wouldn't formally acknowledge the pickup until today.

The pair will join fellow dramas "24," "Dollhouse," "Fringe" and "Lie to Me" as part of FOX's 2009-10 returning class.
