 "Bones" Summary

Bones is an investigative drama following the exploits of Dr. Temperance Brennan, who is one of the leading forensic anthropologists in her field. Dr. Brennan works at the Jeffersonian Institute and leads one of the finest teams that helps put names and faces to remains that cannot be identified by traditional means. Many times the remains are too badly burned, scarred, or decomposed. She is also often called upon by various law enforcement organizations to help identify victims or witnesses to crimes. She has an extraordinary way of seeing past the apparent and reading the clues correctly when others may not.

Often times, Dr. Brennan is teamed up with Special Agent Seeley Booth of the FBI. He is part of the Bureau’s Homicide Investigations Unit. Agent Booth is a former Army Ranger Sniper who has a no-nonsense attitude towards scientists and the like. He and many in his agency refer to them as “squints” – as in they are always squinting at their work. He would rather get his answers from witnesses and investigative work than relying on physical evidence and its interpretation. Because of this, Dr. Brennan and Agent Booth often rub each other the wrong way. Over time though, both have come to see what the other brings to the cases and have begun to build a strong bond.

The main title theme was written and performed by The Crystal Method.
