Spike follows Oz to LA, and enlists the help of a demented Vampire to regain the Gem of Amara, a ring that gives the Vampire who wears it great powers of survival. The only problem for Spike is that Angel has the ring.

Your name didn't come up. Although, she has been awful busy...jumping the bones of the very first lunkhead who came along. Good-looking fellow. Used her shamelessly. She is cute when she's hurting, isn't she?
Angel: I think she's cuter when she's kicking your ass.
| Spike: (as Rachel) How can I thank you, you mysterious black-clad hunk of a night thing?
(as Angel) No need, little lady, your tears of gratitude are enough for me. You see, I was once a badass vampire, but love and a pesky curse defanged me. Now I'm just a big, fluffy puppy with bad teeth. No, not the hair! Never the hair!
(as Rachel) But there must be some way I can show my appreciation.
(as Angel) No, helping those in need's my job, and working up a load of sexual tension and prancing away like a magnificent poof is truly thanks enough.
(as Rachel) I understand. I have a nephew who's gay, so...
(as Angel) Say no more. Evil's still afoot. And I'm almost out of that nancy-boy hair-gel I like so much. Quickly, to the Angel-mobile, away!

Spike: Quickly! To the Angel-mobile! Away!
Spike is referring to the Batmobile, the name of Batman's primary vehicle of choice in the comics. It has followed the character throughout the decades and in virtually every media he has appeared in, evolving into different designs.
| Cordelia: I don’t think Oz appreciated being called "my little Bamm-Bamm" all night.
Cordelia is making a reference to Bamm-Bamm from the animated series The Flintstones.
