Also, Sydney makes Jack mad when she continues to persue information about her mother, and Will and Francie confront Sydney about her mysterious activities.

This is another, yet subtle, reference to Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. The White Rabbit was who Alice followed down the rabbit-hole to the Wonderland.

The scene when Sydney is hanging in-between two wires and the rope beings to loosen is reminiscent of to the scene from Mission: Impossible where Tom Cruise is in the same situation.
