11x2: Tonight's Specials Are... recap: Annie is busy at home making brownies for Sam, David and Eric when they come home. Eric is a little annoyed, saying he was mistaken for their grandfather by their teacher; and although they have all met with the teacher he can’t figure out where she got that idea. Annie points out that she and Eric are old enough to be the twins’ grandparents but it’s still kind of funny he’d be called “Grandpa.” He doesn’t, however. She insists that if they stood side by side, they’d look exactly the same age – it is perhaps the fact he was alone and not with her that led to the confusion. After the twins grab some brownies and head upstairs, claiming they don’t have any homework, Annie suggests to Eric they have sex. He wonders where she’s getting the energy for that. His wife replies that since there are only two kids left in the house she has a lot more spare time and not so many chores to do. The twins come back downstairs with Happy and say they’re going over to the Kinkirks so they can play with Sampson and Delilah. Annie and Eric say they’re okay with that and wish them a good time. The twins leave and say goodbye – and mutter “Grandpa” under their breaths...
read more.1x1: Anything You Want recap: It's a sunny Saturday morning, and the Reverend Eric Camden and his wife, Annie, would love to sleep in, but it's not easy to catch a moment alone in a house shared by seven people! One by one, the kids-Ruthie, Simon, Lucy, and Mary-barge into their parents' bedroom, needing something. Matt tries to save the day, but it's hopeless. At the dinner table Simon's in a rush to say grace, with his own special P.S.: "If there really is a God, I know you will find a way to get me that dog I've been wanting". Meanwhile, fourteen-year-old Mary begs Matt to help her with her basketball, but he says he has other plans. Which reminds Annie...Matt is supposed to shoot pool with his father that night. But Matt retorts that he has a date...
